Marvin Harrison Smith, a 35 year old Pastor and restaurant manager at the time of the sting, began chatting with a girl he believed to be fifteen at the time named “Erin”. He was a suspected predator involved in the Fortson, Georgia edition of To Catch a Predator. He is one of the more high profile people caught on the show due to his disturbing chat, his subsequent jail sentence, and the fact that the bust almost caught the show’s first and only female predator.
