Music is powerful—an unseen force that moves the soul, ignites rebellion, and, at times, veers into the abyss. In this episode, we explore the shadowy underbelly of sound, where music ceases to be mere entertainment and transforms into something far more sinister.
From the eerie legends of cursed compositions to the dangerous ideologies woven into extreme genres, we peel back the layers of the dark side of music. We take a deep dive into the origins of black metal, a genre soaked in mystery, controversy, and chaos. What began as raw sonic rebellion soon spiraled into church burnings, occult rituals, and real-life violence. But was it all performance art gone too far, or something deeper—something truly otherworldly?
Special guest Aiden England from metal band Circle 9, comes on the show to discuss what he knows in the dark world of music. We also share some of the band's songs in the episode!
