August 26, 2025Declan Furber Gillick addressing Pine Gap Vigil on Sunday 24 August 2025A regular vigil is being held on the road to Pine Gap military base by concerned local residents and organised by Mparntwe for Falastin, to highlight the connection between the Australian and US governments with the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Held every fortnight, each gathering is different depending on current news and events, visiting speakers and capacity, but generally consists of speeches, music and sharing picnic food. More than 60 people turned out on Sunday to stand in solidarity with other gatherings and marches held around the country.
