Local singer songwriter Gabby Dever speaks about what inspires her to make music. Classically trained in violin and piano, Gabby has lived and performed in Mparntwe for 9 years. The Brekky Show caught up with Jock Barnes, one half of the Queensland-based country duo Route 33, to chat about their single One Big Song, to be released 4 August. Aero from the Alice Springs Town Council visited the Brekky Show to chat about ther Edge of the Future workshop series. They are partnering with ALEC and NT Writers Centre on a youth recycled art workshop at Central Craft 2 Aug. and a youth climate writing workshop with Victoria Alondra on 9 Aug. This series of workshops is for 12–18-year-olds and works towards Speaking 4 the Planet competition submissions on 16 August.
