Frankly, this needed to happen...

It's the movie that inarguably changed the perception of comic book movies forever and many consider to be the best Batman movie of all time: 2008's "The Dark Knight" directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger with a performance that shut the haters up permanently.

Still considered to be Jer's favorite Batman movie, "Batman Begins" from 2005 was the beginning of Christian Bale under the cowl, Christopher Nolan behind the camera, and the "dark and gritty" reboot.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is not the truly apocalyptic event that a lot of people make it out to be.  Because that would at least be exciting.  Instead it's a snooze, which is the cardinal sin for movies, particularly franchise films.
