How Discover passion in a Boy

1. Introduce your boy to as many different activities as possible as he is developing.

2. Notice which activities that ignite or fire up his passion.

3. Feed the dragon. When you see the fire/passion encourage it, celebrate it, and make a big deal about how good he is at it.

4. Help your boy not to compare his passions to others

“I’m a Jack of all trades, master of none.” Is not a goal worth striving for.

Your goal as a parent or mentor is not to develop a well rounded boy——rather help him gain the rudimentary skills to function well as an adult and focus on his strengths.

Champions are not well rounded people.

Highly successful people are really good at something.

God has made each of our boys unique. Every boy has strengths and gifts.

Our job is to find out what his bent is and work hard in the short amount of time to encourage, fertilize, and specialize before they become men.

The more often our boys are engaged in their strengths the higher clearer the ultimate vision for his life will be. Avoid be well rounded and choose to be sharp and make a difference in this world.
