The Labour Party was one of many to criticise the National Parties policy announcements of minimising welfare for youth and focusing on pushing them into work. 

However, the Auckland Action Against Poverty group has called out the government for their own actions of sanctioning those on the benefit.

They claim Labour has cut benefits of around 4000 people who aren't well, are injured or living with a disability in the last 5 years.

Statistics New Zealand has recently put out a report into their updated ocean acidification indicator.

This data has come from a partnership withThe National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, as well as their New Zealand Ocean Acidification Observing Network. 

The data provider said there has been a decrease in the our waters PH level, Meaning seawater has undergone more absorption of carbon dioxide. 

As the rate of greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise due to climate change, more of our water has become effected leading to the risk of losing certain sea life.  

I had a chat to Michele Lloyd, the senior manager of Environmental and Agricultural Statistics at Stas NZ about their report. 

Auckland's mayoral elections and getting closer and closer, and the beliefs of some candidates have been called into question by commentators.

Many have pointed out candidates who have links to conspiracy groups, and others have criticised the policy of larger candidates such as Viv Beck.
