In July, a liquor store clerk leaked the Chiefs' new contract for PATRICK MAHOMES . . . after a team employee came in and bought a bunch of expensive champagne. But the Chiefs weren't mad. They just sent HER a bottle that they had left over, along with a Mahomes autograph.

Someone looked at Google Trends and found the most embarrassing thing each state googles more than anyone else. The highlights include Georgia with "Where is Africa?" . . . Michigan with "What am I good at?" . . . and Vermont with "Where is Canada?"

Some of them are still around, like the McRib from 1981 or the Dairy Queen Blizzard in 1985. And some are long gone, like McDonald's McLean Deluxe in 1991.

There's a new app called Mole and basically, it lets you hire anonymous strangers to work as your SPIES. You go on the app when you want to see live video of a certain location, and someone who's at that location will get a few bucks to livestream it to you.

The new emojis we'll get next year have been announced. They include couples with a heart between them . . . a man and woman with a hipster haircut and beard . . . a heart wrapped in bandages . . . a heart on fire . . . and a face puffing out smoke.

Here are some random facts for National Cheeseburger Day: The cheeseburger might have been invented by mistake in California in 1924 . . . Americans prefer American cheese over cheddar, but it's close . . . and Jimmy Buffett's song "Cheeseburger in Paradise" was inspired by an actual meal he had.

Some of the big science stories this week included astronomers finding signs of life on Venus. A study that found $50 trillion has trickled up to the wealthiest 10% of Americans since 1975. And a survey that found 63% of us would consider becoming a cyborg and implanting technology if it would improve our lives.
