Dr. vom Saal’s work has opened new questions about the safety of many chemicals which had been thought safe based on traditional methods used in toxicology.

Emotional, verbal, physical & sexual abuse all go largely unreported because of the stigma, embarrassment & humiliation, as well as often the retribution often following reporting. In short, these are among the most difficult and serious issues we humans face in our society, with so little practical way to address, rectify, prosecute and heal these situations.

To address these very delicate issues, Mitchell's guest tonight is the venerable Rabbi Simcha Weinberg. Rabbi Weinberg has been helping to rescue people, mainly children, from contexts in which these kinds of abuse are very under cover yet rampant.

Rabbi Weinberg was the Senior Rabbi at Lincoln Square Synagogue, New York from from 1991-96,

Simcha (which, in Hebrew, means "joy"), created “Religion on the Job” (annual program focusing on the Jewish perspective of the major professions), was the Vice President of Council of Orthodox Jewish Organizations of the West Side and has an extraordinary number of credits to his name.
