Ladies & Gentlemen we have reached another milestone! This episode is part one of the celebration for achieving 50 episodes of A Blerd's Intermission podcast. I had a special guest to celebrate this milestone. Cici Felton is a Poet, Social worker, and a Mentor. Our conversation today included the usual Blerd talk along with the harsh realities of this week. From the reparation bill being passed,  to the verdict in the Derek Chauvin case, and the recent killing of Mahkia Byrant by Cops. Trauma, trauma, and trauma.  Among the tragedy, we were able to discuss the importance of having a legacy as well. Nonetheless, hope you enjoy this episode  and part two of this conversation will be on the way soon.

This week Joseph finally got the opportunity to geek out on some Marvel (Phase 4) content . Before getting to the main show, Joseph unpacks a lot within the Blerd talk. New readings, The passing of DMX, Duante Wright, and the recent acts of violence within the city.

This week Joseph & Chauncey discussed alot. What was originally planned as a Marvel episode turned into another great open discussion. This episode spent most of its time in the Blerd talk segment; Marvin Gaye, The Tina Turner documentary, Dear White People season 5, Queen of The South season 5, White people using the N-word in the workplace, and The Walking Dead foreshadowing Amerikkkaa's future. For the news, we discussed the trial of Derek Chauvin (George Floyd's Killer) and briefly touched on why people press record first before helping/deescalating serious situations.

This week Joseph discussed the usual Blerd talk along with his thoughts on the recent crimes within the city.  With the senseless violence and killings of innocent folks, it’s time for  a change. A change in the way we see ourselves , treat ourselves, and love ourselves.  This can apply for any "race" but for this episode, we're acknowledging what’s going down in the hood. If y'all want peace, seek it. Fuck the guns, settle your differences like they did back in the old days, and y'all learn something.

This week Joseph discussed the importance of processing grief in dark times along with providing truth to the "ignorant." From the 7 mass shootings that  had taken place within 7 days to the passing of a loved one via cancer.  This week has been dark but with the belief of things getting better and the right tools for healing, we'll get through this.

This week Joseph celebrates Women's History Month by highlighting  various women in different fields. He also shares a beautiful moment that transpired with his daughter. As always, the show kickoffs with the usual Blerd talk. With this week’s news, Joseph discussed the shooting in ATL to Joe Biden trippin, and more. Hope you enjoy!
