Jeff, like most Americans, is not particularly trained as a contractor or handyman but he did not let that stop him and his wife from building their dream home. Due to out-of-control housing prices in Utah Jeff and his wife decided to purchase a plot of land and start to build their own home. Jeff walks us through the process of working with sub-contractors, inspectors, crazy neighbors, and so much more. Jeff shares some wisdom on how someone can do this on their own, ways to save money, and things he would do different the next time around. Jeff talks about some of the difficulties he and his wife encountered as they were building their home including some health problems, decision fatigue, and dealing with sexism.
