I’m sure you can think of some good examples in your life. People who live for the glory of God, and you want to be like them! But then there are those bad examples too, that can draw us away from the Lord. Today we’ll consider some good and bad examples in Philippians chapters 2 and 3.

Pastor John Randall is going through Philippians right now. You can probably think of someone in your life that is known as a complainer! When things don’t go the way they want they’re quick to complain about it. And at times they can be hard to be around. When we come to Christ for salvation we must realize it’s a total work of God, by grace. But then God goes to work in and through our lives. He gives us a job to do, but this too is to be fueled by grace and the power of the Spirit. He supplies the power and ability to live the life we’re called to. But we have a part to play in this.

When we want a portrait of the wonderful humility of Christ we need to read Philippians chapter two. There Paul seeks to resolve a conflict in the Philippian church, and writes about our Savior’s humility, a trait He wants to produce in us as well. So we will consider humility in the Lord today, one who had the supreme right to be served, but who came to serve in humility. Our study is based in Philippians chapter 2.

We receive invitations all the time. Whether it be to go out to dinner with friends or something a little more formal like to a wedding. Today John Randall continues his study of Philippians. One thing that robs us of joy is conflicts. Now conflicts will come in life, and in the Body of Christ. What is important is that we work to resolve them, forgive and move on. If we don’t petty problems can become major battles and even lead to division.
