Pastor John Randall is just getting started in Colossians. We left off at chapter one, and verses 18-23. In these difficult times we’re living in, we desperately need encouragement to keep on going. We’ll be in Matthew chapter 23 today if you want to find your place there now. Jesus is in the last week of His earthly ministry and conveying some important things to His disciples before He would leave them. In this passage He takes time out to point out the hypocrisy in the religious leaders. Essentially saying, don’t be like them! They were putting on a good show, but we’re not practicing what they preached.

You may or may not have an inheritance waiting for you from a loved one. But even that will one day pass away. But consider this… if you’re a believer in Christ you have an incomparable inheritance given to you by God for all of eternity. Nothing can take it away! In Matthew chapter 23 Jesus points out the great hypocrisy in the Pharisees. They were all about showing off, doing what they did to be seen by men. And they certainly didn’t practice what they preached. Pastor John observes the same sort of behavior in much of the world today in his message!
