At the moment of our conversion to Christ, a battle begins! It’s a battle within us, between the flesh and the spirit. Today on a Daily Walk we’ll take a look at this internal war and see how to be overcomers in Christ. Pastor John Randall is in Romans chapter seven, covering verses 14-25.

What are we to make of all of those laws on the left side of our Bibles? Like many of the Jews in the first century, some today are under the impression that a person must keep those laws in order to be saved. Not only is that impossible, but it misses the purpose of the law. As we’ll learn today on a Daily Walk, the law is designed to reveal our sin and drive us to our Savior! That’s the emphasis of the first half of Romans chapter seven, and where we join pastor John Randall today for his message, Law and Order.

Many who would characterize themselves as New Testament believers are still living under the Old Testament law. They’re still trying to live up to a standard that is unattainable, instead of recognizing the law was intended to show us we can’t keep it. And we need a Savior who not only can save guilty sinners but also bring about holiness in our lives. Today on a Daily Walk we’ll recognize this tendency we have so we don’t miss out on the true purpose of the law! Pastor John Randall is in Romans chapter seven.

The Bible makes it clear that we’re saved by grace through faith. It’s not of works, but a free gift. But does that mean the believer is free to sin continually or even occasionally? Let’s talk about it today on a Daily Walk as we finish up Romans chapter six. Pastor John Randall will provide compelling reasons why the Christian should not make plans to sin occasionally.
