A Daily Walk on Oneplace.com

We’re going through Romans with pastor John Randall. We’ve learned previously in this epistle that we’re saved by grace, and God will forgive us no matter what we’ve done if we’ll turn to Him in faith. But does that mean, once we become saved, that we can continue in a lifestyle of sin? Is it ok to willingly engage in sin occasionally, knowing that forgiveness will be offered? The apostle Paul answers that for us in Romans chapter six. Let’s see what he has to say about Occasional Sin.

How often have we seen it, someone prays a prayer and walks an aisle. Then walks out of church and goes on to live like they always have. But as we open Romans chapter six, we come to realize the believer in Christ is dead to sin and no longer to be controlled by it! We’ll not only hear why that’s the case, but how the change occurs today on a Daily Walk.

How concerned are you about holiness? Some aren’t concerned at all about it, others go way overboard into unnecessary strictness, and still others have their own code of conduct! But what does God have to say about it all? That’s what we’ll focus in on today with pastor John Randall. We’ll find great insight on sanctification and holiness in Romans chapter six here on a Daily Walk!

Pastor John Randall will be finishing up Romans chapter five, where the apostle Paul compares and contrasts the effects of Adam’s decision, with Christ’s decision. Both life changing decisions have impacted us in more ways than one!

We hope you’re ready to dive back into God’s Word here on a Daily Walk. As Christians we all have a lot to be thankful for, not the least of which is the wonderful place God has prepared for us called Heaven. In our verse by verse study through Revelation, we reach chapter nineteen today. After all of the wrath and destruction we’ve read about in the last few chapters, we finally get to the really good news here in chapter nineteen.

Today we pickup where we left off in the New Testament book of Romans. And in chapter five we spotlight what we all should know is true, that everyone sins and everyone dies. But we’re also told why. Pastor John is quick to admit this passage isn’t easy to interpret, but it paints a wonderful contrast between the life of Adam and the life of Jesus. In the minutes ahead of us, you’re going to see how the decisions they made had an impact on all of us!

In recent weeks pastor John Randall has helped us arrive at an understanding of the doctrine of justification how we become right with God. Yes it’s truly amazing that God would be willing to save sinners like you and me. And if that wasn’t enough, God also pours out some amazing blessings into our lives, once we become saved. We’ll highlight a few of them today like peace with God and access to God and His grace.

We’ll once again be looking at the faith of Abraham. As we learned last time, Abraham believed God could do the impossible and he had hope in a hopeless situation. That’s not all! Pastor John makes a few more observations about the faith of Abraham, and it relates it to our Daily Walk!
