How often have we seen it, someone uses deception and manipulation to get their way, instead of trusting God and going His way! Today we’ll focus on Genesis chapters twenty-six and twenty-seven.

As Americans by and large we hate to wait! We grow impatient in the drive-thru if we have to wait more than five minutes. We get upset in traffic when it slows to a crawl. But imagine having to wait for something you really wanted for 20 years! That’s the place we find Isaac and Rebekah today on a Daily Walk. They waited 20 years for a child, diligently praying all along the way. Pastor John Randall observes some great lessons in this story.

The God Who has promised to provide all our needs has also promised to lead us. As the Psalmist said He makes us to lie down in green pastures and leads us to still waters. The difficulty for many today is to live within His provision and to follow His lead. On today’s broadcast we’ll hear about a servant who was sent by his master to find a bride for his son. He is given what seemed to be an impossible task - yet as he sought the Lord and followed His lead - God graciously provided.

At some point in our daily walk just about all of us will experience the loss of a loved one. And it can really hit us like a ton of bricks, and the grief is beyond words! Maybe you’re dealing with that even as we speak? Today on a Daily Walk we open our bibles to Genesis 23, where Sarah passes away and is buried. As you might expect this was hard on her husband Abraham. But while he would grieve it was not without hope! And the same holds true for us as believers.

On today’s broadcast pastor John Randall continues his verse by verse study through the Book of Genesis. In chapter twenty-two Abraham receives a faith test. It’s been said you are either in a trial, coming out of it, or headed straight for one. So it’s not a matter of if but when will we face a trial. And of course Jesus said, in the world you will have tribulation. And trials do indeed test our faith don’t they? So, Its critical to process the trials we face biblically.
