A troubled heart - it’s something we all encounter at one time or another. And maybe you have a heavy heart as we speak? The disciples were troubled as well, when they realized their teacher and friend was about to leave them. But I’m happy to say there is a remedy for such a condition! Turn to John chapter fourteen and let’s draw some comfort from the words of Jesus.

Many of us have run across sceptics and agnostics who claim that if they could only see visible proof of God, or some sort of sign, then they’d believe. Today on a Daily Walk pastor John Randall will show us that even after Jesus had performed many signs, there were still those that wouldn’t believe. One of the best ways to understand the heart of Jesus Christ is to look at the things He did in the last hours of His life, when He knew He was about to be crucified. Last time we completed John’s look at the Lord’s letter to Smyrna, in Revelation chapter two. It was a letter of encouragement and praise. Today, as we begin a study of the letter to Pergamum, we see a very different tone from the Lord. Pergamum had fallen into the hands of false teaching. They were compromising. The Lord’s response? Repent!
