Pastor John Randall is our Bible teacher, and once again today he’ll take us to the first book of the Bible, Genesis. In chapter nineteen, Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed. But before that happens God sends an angel to Lot with explicit instructions to escape and don’t look back! We’re told that Lot’s wife did look back and paid dearly for it with her life. Pastor John shows us the powerful lessons we can learn from this in part two of his message, Don’t Look Back.

We could create a list a mile long of the things we’re incapable of doing in our own strength. But when it comes to God, we need to understand, nothing is too hard for Him! And it’s good to be reminded of that, especially when we’re faced with a situation that’s out of our control or beyond our ability! Today on a Daily Walk we’ll learn this as we open our Bibles to Genesis chapters seventeen and eighteen.

Certain skeptics find the miracles in the Bible hard to believe. From Noah and the flood, to Jonah and the Big Fish... and how is it possible for a woman to bear a child at 90 years of age they ask? But they fail to realize that God is able to do anything He wants to do. We’ll focus on God’s faithfulness and great ability here today on a Daily Walk as our study of Genesis continues with pastor John Randall.

Whether it’s in the doctor’s office or in traffic, we don’t like to wait do we! We grow impatient if we have to wait for something for 13 minutes, but imagine having to wait for something close to thirteen years! That’s what Abraham and Sarah had to go through. As our study of Genesis develops we return to the story of Abraham and Sarah waiting for their promised son to arrive. After waiting for quite some time they decide to take matters into their own hands... big mistake!

We’re in the middle of pastor John Randall’s study of Genesis right now. Today we’ll be looking together at chapters twelve and thirteen, and we’re on the receiving end of some incredible lessons for those times in life when we fail. Abraham is about to blow it big time. Fear has a grip on his life, and he leans on his own understanding instead of God’s promises! But he’s also going to get back on track- and that track leads right to Bethel.
