A Daily Walk on Oneplace.com

Does it really matter how we approach God? Can we just come to Him however we want? The popular opinion of the day is that there are many roads to the Lord, and it doesn’t matter what you believe. Today we learn a valuable lesson from Genesis chapter four- there is one way to God and we had better come to Him on His terms- not ours. The story of Cain and Abel and the sacrifices they brought to God is what we’ll focus in on today on a Daily Walk.

Pastor John Randall is taking us through Genesis, verse by verse, right now. In chapter three, sin enters the world. Eve falls for Satan’s lie, and Adam willfully disobeys God too. Rather than admitting their sin and turning to God through repentance, they chose to blame shift. Sound familiar? Not only will we be taking a look at the right and wrong way to respond after we sin, but John will also point out that Satan’s tactics really haven’t changed since the Garden.

There’s something satisfying about finishing a job or task, and being able to look back with that sense of accomplishment. Today on a Daily Walk we join pastor John Randall in Genesis chapter two, where God is now finished with His creative work. What will He do next? He’s going to take some time out to enjoy what He’s done- and rest.

As we continue our study through Revelation with pastor John Randall we’ve reached chapter twelve. We’re going to learn about one of the great battles of all time.. one that’s been fought since the beginning of time and one that continues today. It’s the battle between satan and God. One interesting aspect of this battle is that we already know who has won!

We’re giving our attention to the early part of Genesis right now! If you were walking through a desert in the middle of nowhere, and suddenly saw a computer sitting in the sand, would you think it just grew there or that someone put it there? As silly as that seems, in order to believe in Evolution, you have to believe that something as complicated as this world, the universe and everything in it, just happened by accident! The truth is God spoke it all into existence and that includes you!

How did the universe, the world, and everything in it come into being? Was there some sort of a big bang or did God do it? Open your school text book and you might be confused on the answer to that, but if you open Genesis you’ll arrive at the truth! That’s where we’re headed today on a Daily Walk. Pastor John Randall shows us today we can trust the Bible is the truth, and that includes the creation account!

Today on a Daily Walk we turn back to the beginning. Maybe like a lot of people you’re wondering how in the world we got here? Was there some sort of an explosion caused by random chance that sprung creation into existence or is there a creator behind it all? Genesis has the answer we’re looking for, and we’d invite you to join us there as we begin a new chapter by chapter study of this first book of the Bible.
