But imagine having to wait for something you really wanted for 20 years! That’s the place we find Isaac and Rebekah today on a Daily Walk. They waited 20 years for a child, diligently praying all along the way. Pastor John Randall observes some great lessons in this story.

The God who has promised to provide all our needs has also promised to lead us. As the Psalmist said He makes us to lie down in green pastures and leads us to still waters. At some point in our daily walk just about all of us will experience the loss of a loved one. And it can really hit us like a ton of bricks, and the grief is beyond words! As you might expect this was hard on her husband Abraham. But while he would grieve it was not without hope! And the same holds true for us as believers.

In Genesis chapter twenty-two Abraham receives a faith test. It’s been said you are either in a trial, coming out of it, or headed straight for one. So it’s not a matter of if but when will we face a trial. And of course Jesus said, in the world you will have tribulation. And trials do indeed test our faith don’t they? So, Its critical to process the trials we face biblically.
