In John chapter eight we find some religious leaders bringing to Jesus a young woman they caught in the very act of adultery. They were looking to condemn her. How Jesus responds perfectly answers the question of what God is like and how we should treat those in sin.

I think it’s safe to say most of us want to be well liked by others. But maybe you’ve noticed, if you live for the Lord and walk as Jesus walked, not everyone will pat you on the back. When we’re hungry, we know what to do..... we either open the fridge and cook something up, or go out to eat and satisfy our hunger that way. But what do we do with our spiritual hunger? John chapter six will be the centerpiece of our study. Imagine hosting a get together, and discover that you don’t have enough food to go around. That would be quite embarrassing, right? But in our day and age the problem could probably be rectified by making a trip to the grocery store, or making a phone call to a local restaurant. This luxury wasn’t available in the days of Christ, making what we’re about to read even more astounding. Five loaves and two fish. Perhaps enough to feed a couple of people, but certainly not five thousand, right? Nothing is impossible for God as you'll hear today.
