A Different Story With Eric Corey

Discussing Trump is a dead-end endeavor. Because the people who love him will always support him. And for the people who hate him you will never convince them to not. It is this dynamic that makes him perhaps the most polarizing figure of our time and an interesting case study. 

This podcast is not designed to change anyone’s mind, if such a thing is even possible. I’m merely going to explore the why of it all.

The latest efforts to promote Socialism have gathered some steam of late and are the topic of much discussion in advance of the 2026 midterm elections. In my mind it seems so unnecessary and mindless to even entertain such foolishness. But the news services need something to talk about and as such have given these movements legitimacy. A legitimacy that requires a complete suspension a critical thinking and historical perspective.

The US House of Representatives is the place where all of the financial business of the nation is conducted. It's of the utmost significance who controls this office of government. Majority rules here and if you're in the minority you have no power whatsoever. The 2026 mid-term elections is another opportunity for the power to swing from Republican to Democrat control and getting up-to-speed on what that means is the topic of this Different Story.

A follow up Different Story on the subject of AI and how it has already been used to assist the US Government in getting better at what it's supposed to be doing. The questions remain on how successful it can be or if it just proves how unprepared we all are for this advancement in  technology.

The best part about Artificial Intelligence is that nobody really knows where all this is heading. So my guess is as good as any out there but I think it's better than most.

Being at war happens more often than you think.  It’s the way of the world and the way it has been since the dawn of civilizations. So let’s not get all carried away with the war monger thing or the war is hell thing. War is just a natural state of being.

Being too nice is not only costing you money but it is enabling the fraudsters who prey on your accommodating nature to flourish. 

And being too nice is also doing a disservice to the people with eggshell feelings by enabling their weak behavior that works against their ability to get stronger. 

Trying to find something so significant to people's daily life that would move them to take action. Simple, decisive action to fix a problem that isn't going away on it's own.

I'm hoping this is it.

In the absence of legislative action to solve our nations most pressing issues, our government is using executive actions to get the necessary things done. And now, with a greater frequency, declaring a 'State of Emergency' to handle our problems.

Give me 15 minutes to explain how using emergency powers can quickly get out of control.

At a time in the USA when Socialism has become the latest fad, it would be a good time to remind everyone of what Capitalism has brought us and the world. 

The facts of its success present themselves every day of our lives. It's just that some can't see that forest through the trees of their own ignorance. Give me 15 minutes to explain that which should need no explanation.
