I know it can get super overwhelming when you want to do so much especially in Ramadan and your responsibilities require you to do other things

Whether it’s going to school or tending to your kids or your parents, with everything you do you can intend for it to be an act of worship ! Allah is so merciful that EVERYTHING YOU DO CAN BE AN ACT OF WORSHIP!

This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t STRIVEE and have a plan to challenge ourselves as it’s obviously RAMADAN but this should keep us calm, motivated and hopeful.

Hadiths to motivate us:

Abdullah bin 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said that Allah, the Glorious, said:

"Verily, Allah (SWT) has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly how (to write): He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten to seven hundred folds, and even more. But if he intends to do an evil act and has not done it, then Allah writes it down with Him as a full good deed, but if he intends it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

It was narrated that 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah said:

"Actions are but by intentions, and each man will have but that which he intended. Whoever emigrated for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, and whoever emigrated for the sake of some worldly gain or to marry some woman, his emigration was for that for which he emigrated."

Reference : Sunan an-Nasa'i 3437

Abu al-Darda’ reported the prophet (ﷺ) as saying :

If anyone memorizes ten verses from the beginning of surat al-Kahf, he will be protected from the trial of Dajjal (Antichrist).

Abu Dawud said: In this way Hashim al-dastawa’I transmitted it from Qatadah, but he said : “If anyone memorizes the closing verses of surat al-Kahf.” Shu’bah narrated from Qatadah the words “from the end of al-Kahf.

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Allah swt says

“Run to Allah” “Flee to Allah”

Quran 51:50

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:222)

Arabic: إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Translation: "Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."

Significance: Highlights Allah’s love for those who sincerely repent and maintain spiritual purity.

Surah Al-Imran (3:135-136)

Arabic: وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا لِذُنُوبِهِمْ...

Translation: “And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness... Their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow."

Surah At-Tahrim (66:8)

Arabic: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوحًا...

Translation: "O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance..."

Significance: Calls for genuine, heartfelt repentance without hypocrisy.

- adding to the “are you bored?” Episode

Are you bored of worship OR are you not exploring the different ways you can worship Allah!!!🥹

“One who lives a life of repetition and routine will almost inevitably become a victim of boredom, especially since man by his very nature tires from a lack of change”.

Boredom is a feeling that steals our moments away, moments that could be life changing if we were present.

“For this reason Allah, the Exalted, the Almighty, gave us variety in times and places, in food and drink - diversity in the many forms of creation: night and day, valley and mountain, white and black, hot and cold, shade and sun, sweet and sour”.

“You should contemplate the many forms of worship that are legislated in Islam. There are deeds of the heart, of the tongue, of the limbs, and of wealth. by spending it for a good cause. The prayer, alms giving, fasting, pilgrimages to Makkah, fighting in the way of Allah - these are only some examples of worship. The prayer involves standing, bowing, prostrating, and sitting. If you desire relaxation, vitality, and continued productivity, then bring diversity into your work, your reading, and your daily life.

In terms of reading, for example, read a broad range of topics: the Qur'an, its explanation, the biography of the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) and his Companions, hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, history, literature, books of general knowledge, and so forth. Distrihute your time between worship and enjoying what is lawful, from visiting friends, entertaining guests, playing sports, or going on excursions: you will find yourself to be a lively and bright person, because the soul delights in variety and things that are new.”

The soul delights in variety and things that are new! So oh servant of her merciful Lord , Allah has made so many things halal( permissible) for us and has made so many different acts of worship so we don’t get bored , so we keep enjoining in good, because there’s so much good to enjoin in.

Explore the sunnah and incorporate different sunnahs into your life to make it easy for your soul to stay excited and present in acts of worship🫂

Alhamdulillah for Ramadan! May we leave it having improved on how we treat each other. Whether it’s distancing ourselves from idle speech and gossip and backbiting and slander or controlling anger and being mindful of our speech and everything else.

~ Hey sis, sorry I didn’t send you a voice note yesterday.. I recorded this one when I really needed a nap so I pray to Allah it’s beneficial!

Day 4 today and I pray we remember, as we try our best to fulfill the rights of Our Creator , we also strive to be the best to His creation. Even if some of us are hungry , our reward is with Allah🫂we’re in this together!

Today we reflected on this beautiful verse,

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمْ تَفَسَّحُوا۟ فِى ٱلْمَجَـٰلِسِ فَٱفْسَحُوا۟ يَفْسَحِ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا قِيلَ ٱنشُزُوا۟ فَٱنشُزُوا۟ يَرْفَعِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ دَرَجَـٰتٍۢ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ ١١

O believers! When you are told to make room in gatherings, then do so. Allah will make room for you ˹in His grace˺. And if you are told to rise, then do so. Allah will elevate those of you who are faithful, and ˹raise˺ those gifted with knowledge in rank. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Quran 58:11

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned to face the people and said, ‘Straighten your rows,’ three times, ‘for by Allah either you straighten your rows or Allah will create division among your hearts.’ And I saw men standing shoulder to shoulder, knee to knee, ankle to ankle.”

Narrated by Abu Dawood, 662; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 61

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Sahih al-Bukhari 1901

Abu Hurairah narrated that:

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven."

Sunan an-Nasa'i 5027

Surahtul Insan

There are LEVELSSS to this- some verses:

أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَـٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْقَـٰسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ ٢٢

Can ˹the misguided be like˺ those whose hearts Allah has opened to Islam, so they are enlightened by their Lord? So woe to those whose hearts are hardened at the remembrance of Allah! It is they who are clearly astray.

Quran 39:22

أَفَمَن كَانَ مُؤْمِنًۭا كَمَن كَانَ فَاسِقًۭا ۚ لَّا يَسْتَوُۥنَ ١٨

Is the one who is a believer equal ˹before Allah˺ to the one who is rebellious? They are not equal!

Quran 32:18

Tips to attain Khushu

Prayyyy about it aswell! Allah says, call upon me I will respond to you!!!

May Allah allow for us to be of the muttaqeen and khaaashieen

Ya rabbal a’lameen

The miracles of istighfar and tawba!- forever recommend listening to this!

Why should we follow the Sunnah / The Prophetic teaching of our Prophet: becauseee Allah swt says:

لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌۭ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا ٢١

Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.

Quran 33:21

قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ ٣١

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Quran 3:31

مَّن يُطِعِ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ ٱللَّهَ ۖ…

Whoever obeys the Messenger has truly obeyed Allah…

Quran 4:80

- soo please follow as many sunnahs as you can and may Allah accept from us and allow for the Quran to have a visible transformative impact on us and may Allah allow for us to prioritise staying in seclusion with Him swt this Ramadan like our Prophet pbuh🫂🥹

Quran 11:114

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur'an with him. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then used to be more generous than the fast wind.

Sahih al-Bukhari 3554

For He swt tells us

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌۭ ٧

And ˹remember˺ when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more. But if you are ungrateful, surely My punishment is severe.’”

Quran 14:7

May Allah allow for us to show our gratitude to him by becoming the BESTT versions of ourselves for Him and only him ya rabbal a’lameen

The three duas to keep repeating-

1. ​ Allahumma ballighna lailatul qadr

( Oh Allah make us reach lailatul qadr)

1. ​ Allahumma A’atiq Riqaabana minnan naar

(Oh Allah save our necks from the hellfire)

1. ​Rabbanaa taqabbal minna innaka anta assamee al-aleem

(Oh our Master accept from us , indeed you are The All-Hearing / The One who always listens ,The All Knowing)

Duas in Arabic -

1. ​ اللهم بلغنا ليلة القدر
2. ​ اللهم اعتق رقابنا من النار
3. ​ ربنا تقبل منا إنك أنت السميع العليم

I pray that Allah makes this the Ramadan that changes our lives and hearts forever! For the better! Ya Mujeed Ya Arhamurraahimeen
