Story Transcript:
Cy: Roedd y bore yn ifanc yn nhref fach marchnadol yng Nghaernarfon, wrth droed Eryri.
En: The morning was young in the small market town of Caernarfon, at the foot of Eryri.
Cy: Roedd y farchnad yn fyw, gyda chlychau yn seinio a siopwyr yn crwydro rhwng y stondinau lliwgar.
En: The market was lively, with bells ringing and shoppers wandering between the colorful stalls.
Cy: Safodd Gareth wrth ei stondin llenwi â cherfluniau pren hardd a wnaeth ef ei hun.
En: Gareth stood by his stall filled with beautiful wooden sculptures he had crafted himself.
Cy: Roedd bob un wedi'i gerfio â gofal, llawn hanes a theimlad.
En: Each one was carefully carved, full of history and emotion.
Cy: Ond roedd golwg bryderus ar wyneb Gareth: oedd ei greadigaethau'n unigryw ddigon?
En: But there was a worried look on Gareth's face: were his creations unique enough?
Cy: Roedd ei galon yn y gwaith hwn, ond oedd eraill yn ei weld?
En: His heart was in this work, but did others see it?
Cy: Ar ochr arall y farchnad, roedd Carys.
En: On the other side of the market was Carys.
Cy: Roedd golwg hapus arni, a'i llygaid yn chwilio am rhywbeth arbennig.
En: She had a happy look about her, her eyes searching for something special.
Cy: Roedd awel y gwanwyn yn codi ei gwallt a'i hatgoffa am pa mor arbennig oedd ei hymweliad â'r wlad hon.
En: The spring breeze lifted her hair and reminded her of how special her visit to this country was.
Cy: Roedd llawer o bethau deniadol o'i blaen, ond sut i ddewis?
En: There were many enticing things before her, but how to choose?
Cy: Gwelodd Carys stondin Gareth.
En: Carys saw Gareth's stall.
Cy: Cefais ei llygaid weld cerflun o ddraig pren, ei ddysgafpennau'n danio â chjwynder bywiog.
En: Her eyes caught a wooden dragon sculpture, its features burning with vividness.
Cy: Roedd y draig yn edrych fel pe bai'n dod â hanes o oesau gynt.
En: The dragon seemed as if it carried stories from ancient times.
Cy: Fodd bynnag, roedd y pris yn uchel.
En: However, the price was high.
Cy: Ystyriodd Carys, a'i chalon yn ymestyn tuag at y draig.
En: She pondered, her heart reaching out to the dragon.
Cy: Ai'r blodau yn y gwynt neu'r rhan o chwedlau hen a oedd yn ei denu mor gryf?
En: Was it the flowers in the wind or the part of old legends that drew her so strongly?
Cy: Sylwodd Gareth ar ei sawl olwg a'r amheuaeth yn ei llygaid.
En: Gareth noticed her lingering looks and the doubt in her eyes.
Cy: Galwodd ati, “Mae gan bob un stori. Hoffech chi glywed hanes y ddraig hon?”
En: He called out, “Every piece has a story. Would you like to hear the tale of this dragon?”
Cy: Gydag arhosiad, trodd Carys ato.
En: With a pause, Carys turned towards him.
Cy: Eglurodd Gareth bod y ddraig wedi'i ysbrydoli gan chwedlau Cymru, a sut, ar ochr Eryri, mae draig wedi bod yn symbol o nerth a hunaniaeth ers cenedlaethau.
En: Gareth explained that the dragon was inspired by Welsh legends, and how, on the side of Eryri, a dragon had been a symbol of strength and identity for generations.
Cy: Dywedodd, “Mae'r ddraig yma'n gobeithio dal yr enaid hynny, boed i'r rhai sy'n herio pob posibl, neu'r diflannu lleisiau'r gorffennol.”
En: He said, “This dragon hopes to capture that spirit, whether for those who challenge every possibility, or the fading voices of the past.”
Cy: Wrth wrando ar y stori llawn angerdd, roedd pefrio'r draig fel pe bai'n ddawnsio mewn goleuni newydd.
En: Listening to the passionate story, the dragon's luster was as if it danced in a new light.
Cy: Roedd Carys bellach yn gwybod mai stori dwfn, fwy na dim ond darn coed, oedd yma.
En: Carys now knew that there was a deep story here, more than just a wooden piece.
Cy: “Dw i am gael hyn,” meddai Carys, ei ufudd-dod yn newid mewn trawsnewid.
En: “I want this,” Carys said, her resolve transformed.
Cy: Yn wyneb Gareth roedd ysbryd newydd; yr hyn y mae pob crefftwr yn gobeithio amdano—a cysylltiad, a deall torchiad eu gwaith.
En: On Gareth's face was a renewed spirit; what every craftsman hopes for—a connection, and an understanding of their work's intricacies.
Cy: Roedd y ddau yn gadael gyda gwahanol brosesau.
En: They both left with different processes.
Cy: Cymaint Elisabeth yn prynu atgof, tra Gareth yn magu hyder ei stori.
En: Elisabeth in buying a memory, while Gareth gained confidence in his story.
Cy: Mae'r ddraig ar hyd ei hwyl yn cynrychioli adnewyddiad y ddau diddordeb, ac unwaith eto gwiriedd cyfalaf corfforol anweledig ar deithiau'r farchnad las wawr.
En: The dragon, across its journey, represents the renewal of both interests and once again validated the invisible capital on the blue dawn market journeys.
