Happy Christmas everyone!

We all have Christmas traditions, especially us non Christians who celebrate it more for fun than for religious reasons.

When we invited two of our dear friends who have been celebrating Christmas all their lives, we were expecting to be educated on some religious reasons and beliefs but instead we learned about CHRISTINGLE!

In this hilarious episode, Emily talks about her British family's tradition whilst Heather dives into how her Christmas changed when she moved from the US.

Boarding school or staying in hostel is very common for those Nepalese who did some of their schooling in Nepal.

Some stay their whole school life whereas some go in for the last year which is usually compulsory. 

A time where we are learning about the world around us and are vulnerable in so many ways, most of our childhood (especially those who stay in for a long time) is spent under supervision of wardens or guardians that are responsible for hundreds of children at a time.

In this episode, we relive how our hostel life was and discuss the type of habits, emotions and bonds we develop in the void of the presence and protection of parents.

We did not just stop on Dashain, we have also got you another festive treat, Tihar- The festival of lights!

Collectively we share our fond childhood memories and give an insight into ways of celebrating this wonderful festival.

We discuss how it is the same festival but the regional and age gap makes the celebration different.

The way we celebrate Dashain has definitely changed for a lot of us over the years especially after moving abroad. We touch on the values that we want to pass on and also educate ourselves about the ones we are not so familiar with.
