The Year of Restoration was a year to remember. When it first started I honestly thought this year would be one of the best of my life. But as you will hear that was not how this panned out.

As promised here are the definitions I use for restoration: Restoration is the state or fact of being restored. The act of restoring; renewal, revival, or reestablishment. A return of something to a former, original, normal, or unimpaired condition. Putting back into a former position, dignity, etc.

A Biblical Perspective: The Biblical perspective of health and wellness is a message about the Master Restorer working relentlessly to make man whole and restore him—not just spiritually, but emotionally, mentally, and physically. Mankind is invited to participate in God’s work of restoration by choosing life (Deuteronomy 30:19) and cooperating with Him who provides everything needed for life and godliness (Exodus 15:26; 2 Peter 1:3).

Restoration can look like this:

1. Replace: God replaces our hearts of stone with hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

2. Renew: Through focusing on the Bible, we can renew our minds continually (Romans 12:2).

3. Revive: We are given new, everlasting life through the resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:4).

4. Return: Through the saving work of Jesus on the cross, we are reconciled to God (Romans 5:10).

This week's episode is a bit of a life update and we will mainly be addressing how I got COVID-19 during the thick of brack history month and the exam season for my final year at university. I also Adress some of the platform changes that you may have seen and were curious about.

Growing up, I don’t think I realized just how much my mom did to keep our day-to-day life running so smoothly. Now that I’m grown up, I am in awe of everything she did and continues to do for us. As many of you already know, this is the last quarter of the year, and if you do any sport, you know that the final quarter is the one that creates the championship. In this week's episode, we talk about practical tips that I have used to set and attain goals, even in the pandemic. This year can still be your year; you still have time to achieve the things you wanted to at the beginning of the year, make sure you have a plan. Set actual goals and write them down somewhere. Make sure these goals are attainable and time-bound. Set a plan of action and pivot if you hit a roadblock.

Last week was tough for me both physically and mentally, so I decided this week's podcast would be a conversation about mental health, burnout and the danger of the hustle culture. I learnt so much about myself this week and know now that I need to forgive myself for not being where I want to be sometimes, and that rest isn't a sign of weakness but rather a strength and self-care. The phrase, " working towards progression and not perfect " has never felt more real to me.

This summer has been one I will never forget for a very long time. Between the worldwide pandemic to dealing with life in mental health issues, it has just been such a unique experience. In today's episode, I give you a bit of a life update, like starting my business during COVID19 while doing university summer classes and participating in so many clubs and groups.

I hope you enjoy it and can take some time to reflect on the last couple of months for yourself. Honestly, it wasn't the summer I wanted, but it was the summer I needed. What have learnt, and how can you make the rest of the year better than the one we have just had? 2020 can still be your year; you might just need to change the way we do things and adjust to this NEW NORMAL.

In today's episode, we want to address some allegations of the human rights crises in Zimbabwe. On the 31st of July 2020, a protest was staged, and the military and the police allegedly arrested and beat activists, journalists and several people for the opposition party. Zimbabwe is a beautiful country filled with hard-working, intelligent people. It is not only beautiful in its human capital but nature and natural resources. The government has been through a lot. It is sometimes easier to play the blame game. Still, for actual change to happen, the #ZIMBABWEANLIVESMATTER needs to stop being just a slogan and become a movement for change.

My condolences to all those who have lost loved ones, and I pray that those injured will heal and live another day.
