Deborah Kasdan’s sister, Rachel, had a bright future ahead of her. She was a natural creative, a talented student and loved to travel and meet new people. However, this future dimmed when Rachel was diagnosed with schizophrenia during her mid-twenties. The diagnosis forever impacted both Rachel and the family. She sadly passed away at age 59, but Deborah Kasdan joins us this week to share her sister’s story and the wide-ranging toll of mental illness.
