Reclining at the table during His final Passover meal, Jesus uses the meal as an object lesson to institute a brand new covenant. One not dependent on law and legalism, but dependent on the finished work of Christ on the cross. All we do is come, He's done the rest.

Heartfelt worship of King Jesus is never merely private. It always spills over onto others, one way or the other. The lavish, heartfelt, sacrificial, grateful display of affection was for Jesus, but everyone was blessed. Will you bend you proud neck and lay all of yourself and pride at His feet? Will you lay your future at His feet and accept the future He has for you?

God created humanity to live forever. Unfortunately, we failed. Yet, through the blood of Jesus, humanity's relationship with God has been restored -- and we have been given the right to become children of God. This global Church that Christ is building will last forever and declare God's wisdom and glory.

To most of us the Holy Spirit seems like a mysterious impersonal force. Yet, Jesus says it is better that He goes away and sends us the Counselor — the Holy Spirit. What about the Holy Spirit coming could possibly be better than Jesus Himself staying on earth? By sending His Spirit, God has come to indwell His people and fill them power.

If you are not a part of a caring community of believers then you are missing out on what God has designed you for. If you want to fulfill the purpose of God it will be with a community of believers. Community is what the Church gives to the world.

How you respond to the needs of the least of these is a good indicator of your relationship with Jesus Christ, of your love for Him. Whenever we show compassion, Jesus is at work. God is there. He's doing something because compassion is close to His heart.

The path to true life, is recognizing that all we have is a gift from God and that we are called to be Kingdom investors, focused on others, and faithfully stewarding the resources He has provided for His Kingdom and His glory.

Do we offer worship to God without thought, without care, without true meaning? Do we sing songs without contemplating their ultimate significance? Do we come and engage in the tradition of men rather than the pursuit of the King? Did you know the greatest frustrations of Jesus concerning His people is that we would honor Him with our lips while dishonoring Him with our lives?

The Church is a bastion against evil. We are the protection against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil and spiritual forces in the heavens. For our families and love ones, for our nation and the world.

A lot has been said about the Church throughout history. Some good, a lot of bad. Yet, Christ declared the not even the gates of hades would prevail against His Church, and then invites us to partner with Him on a rescue mission to transfer people from death to life. Will you join Him?
