What does a rich man from scripture have anything to do with your New Years resolution? Perspective. Because easier, doesn't always mean better.

“Are we willing to embrace the new thing God is doing?” God has called us north. We are done circling here. Are you willing to embrace this journey north? Can you forget the things of old, the comfortable the repetitive? Will you embrace this new thing that God is doing? It'll take faith, it'll take trust. New life and new possibilities are on the journey north. I think we're ready. I think we've been ready!

This Christmas season we want to remind you that you can have peace. That your Savior considers you His joy. He “so loved” the world that He gave His Son. Through Him we have peace — in Him we find joy everlasting.

A night that started with a multitude of angels glorifying and praising God, ended with a lowly bunch of shepherds proclaiming the same — all because a baby, a Savior, Christ, the Lord — has come. Today, you and I are invited to join in their song.

Zechariah could have never said another word in his life except for this song, and it would have been some of the best words every spoken. They are full of tender truths and precious promises about Jesus Christ. Jesus, King of salvation brought us knowledge, light and Peace. He is the Day-spring! The light of the world.

Mary’s expression of soul is beautifully recorded for us, and in these words we can’t help but see ourselves as Mary saw herself—unworthy of God’s mercies. Will you and I resolve today to respond the same way as Mary, with worship and adoration?

God is less interested in the amount we give than the attitude with which we give. Individually and collectively, our offerings come together to make an impact that can change the world. It's time to finish the task.

This is the Grateful Generosity loop: we are thankful for the generosity of God and people, and that thankfulness inspires our own compassion and generosity. God wants to use the generosity of His Church to extend His love to the world.

We can’t solve every problem with our time. At the same time God has given you a destiny to live out. You are not here by accident. Your circumstances are not an accident. Who is God calling you to? If we are going to have the greatest month of generosity ever we cannot fear the Long Give. We must embrace it. It is time we get into the mess and give some time.

If we are going to have our “greatest month of generosity ever” we have to quit thinking that generosity is the Christian thing to do. Generosity is the out flow of nobility from a Christian heart. That is our mission to this world, to live out the generosity of our God so that everyone who sees that nobility in you will know the nobility of God!
