We are almost through Genesis. Joseph finally gathers Israel and company into Egypt. Hebrews marks him in the Hall of Faith, and Ecclesiastes let’s us know just how bad it is to get old and things break down on a man.

Genesis- Joseph saves the world from famine, but Israel becomes slaves for the next 400 years. Hebrews 10- Because Christ bore the wrath of God to make us Perfect forever. Ecclesiastes wraps it all up 11:9 (LEB): Follow the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes—

but know that God will bring you into judgment for all these things

We are still in Dallas for this recording. We share a little recap and give you a walk through Genesis 44; Hebrews 8-9; Ecclesiastes 11:1-4.

Joseph, a typical last born child and 17y/o, is betrayed by Family. Jesus is betrayed by a close friend, and Ecclesiastes reminds us we all die in the end. Not exactly an encouraging episode. Scripture:

Genesis- Something bad happens to Dinah, and something worse happens to an entire village of men. Matthew- Jesus warns the worthless servant and reveals what it’s gonna look like when he returns. Ecclesiastes- “Be not hasty to go from his presence. Do not take your stand in an evil cause, for he does whatever he pleases.”
