1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Verse 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
In v1-4 there is a metaphor of a shepherd caring and protecting his sheep
In v5 there is a dynamic SHIFT, a dynamic CHANGE.
Why is there a change in the metaphor?
The metaphor of shepherd and sheep cannot adequately reveal or describe the Lord's plan for us.
The sheep no longer remains in the field, but now they are in the HOUSE. (I will dwell in the house of the Lord)
Live in your Father’s house in constant freedom of heart. Remember that you are under the same roof as Christ, and are therefore allowed to avail yourself of all his grace and help.
I can boldly say, I am under the expert management, and compassionate, tender care of the Good Shepherd!
