In this episode of “A Little Louder Now”, a podcast produced by The Bridge Initiative, an Fi360 project, Alex and Terra interviewed Melissa Richey, Vice President and Market Managing Director of Institutional Asset Management at PNC Capital Advisors.

That might be Melissa's fancy title today, but in their former lives, Melissa was just Terra’s boss. Terra was a new manager and an emotionally charged new mom who was working out how to balance the stress of work and home and marriage and self-care and Melissa was exactly the person she needed at the exact right time to gain confidence in herself as a manager and as a human.

She earned the respect of her colleagues by knowing when and how to be direct or tough, vulnerable or sensitive. She has never apologized for who she is, like when she proudly stood shoulder-to-shoulder with an Ivy League grad questioning her worth as a Slippery Rock alum, and she has never compromised on what she knows to be right, like when it comes to managing people with integrity. Alex and Terra walked away from their conversation with Melissa feeling fully empowered. We know you will too!
