Mamamia placed an intelligent bet on podcasting, right at the moment that its second, more commercialisable (if that’s a word…) wave was approaching. 

With 52 shows and over 250 million lifetime downloads, the publication now holds the largest independent podcast network in Australia and the largest women's podcast network in the world.

I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with the woman at the helm of it all, Lize Ratliff, Head of Podcasts & Deputy Editorial Director at Mamamia.

Despite her enormous responsibilities, Lize will always remain part of the creative process, or as she likes to put it, still able to ‘make the things’ whilst fulfilling her management role.

Lucky for us she doesn’t skimp on any details, Lize walks us through Mamamia's creative process and how new podcasts are created through to the daily management of the shows.
