Should we council people that to get more from their studies they just need to make it more fun? Have you ever been advised this? What should we do or expect from our studies and from the gospel in general? How do we help others approach their gospel study so it creates real lasting change?
Why do we feel temptation? Is it because we're not righteous enough? Not strong enough? Can we avoid being tempted? Why do we give in to temptation? We also discuss 2 ways the Book of Mormon teaches us to protect ourselves and cope through temptation.
Evil must deceive you, it has no other option. But often we're labeled as being brainwashed or deceived for believing a crazy message like the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. But God doesn't want blind followers. He doesn't operate that way. And the gospel message doesn't imply that either. Also, can fishing help us get revelation?
How many of us think to 'magnify our calling' is to take on more than is expected of us? To go above and beyond our call of duty? Not only is this interpretation wrong but it's not helpful.

Our covenants connect us to God. But simply making them isn't enough, we have to keep them. By keeping them we stay aligned with God, and even our spouse. By NOT keeping them we're like an oxen pulling in the opposite direction of the other he's yoked to. Eventually we'll want to be "free."
Is freedom simply doing what we want? Does freedom have its limits? What is it? And where or how do we get it in the end?
We continue our discussion about the importance of understanding repentance as a principle, not an event. We also discuss the importance of understanding the role of ordinances in the repentance process and how we often put the ordinance above Christ and miss the role of the Saviour in the process.
How many of us look at repentance as simply a trial we hope to go through once or twice in life and then be done with? Do we understand that repentance is a principle and not an event? That it means change and improvement? We discuss why this understanding is liberating, not impeding, to our prosperity.
Why did God choose to represent His word with a rod made of iron? Why not wood, or something else? You might be surprised at the many fascinating analogies of iron!

Pain is in the plan. Failure is part of the process. But why? Why, when I am doing what God asked me to do, do I still struggle and fail? Pahoran, Helaman, and Ronald Reagan can teach us a thing or two about this struggle and how to still obtain the end goal of true peace.
