This week: cosplayers, artists, and more! We share all of the interviews we got a few weeks ago at Louisville Supercon. We talked to Kaybear Cosplay, Alex Cosplays, Daberry Best Cosplays, Bindi Smalls, Morgan Le Foy, David Wong, John Marks, and the 501st Legion. It was awesome to get to talk to all these great cosplayers, artists, and prop builders and learn a little about their passion. What a blast last weekend at the first Louisville Supercon! We tell you all about it and how it exceeded our expecatations. We talk about what went on, who was there, what we liked most and what we didn't like. Afterwards we touch on the latest video game controversy that is the Fallout 76 special edition bag. That spurs a massive discussion about indie games versus AAA titles... and Chris and Cory are quite divided on the issue. Welcome back guys! The new Fantastic Beasts movie is out and we went to see it. What did we think of the Crimes of Grindalwald? Chris has finally jumped shipped to team Android and his main reason... Hearthstone! We discuss what he likes so much about the game and we compare it to Magic: The Gathering, which we also play. Plus, should we support companies like Blizzard and EA by playing their games? On the topic of games, almost all of them these days use random number generation and we talk a bit about it. Hearthstone, Diablo, FPS, MMOs... all use RNG! Why is it so popular of a system? Do we like it? How does it impact the games? And if RNG doesn't add enough flavor to the game, then just add some flavor yourself and do some speed or challenge runs! Have we done any? Why or why not? If you glitch through a game, should it count as a speed run? Find out what we think. And we can't forget, Louisville Supercon is this weekend. This week we are joined by Ryan Gastinger, founder of Ohio River Valley Cosplayers (ORCs)! Terrible news struck the nerd community this week with the passing of Stan Lee. We take some time and discuss Stan's legacy and all the great things he did. Thank you Stan, we'll surely miss you.  Then we touch on Disney's new streaming service and some of the content coming to it. We get to know Ryan a bit and discuss his favorite fandoms and nerd interests: Star Wars, Final Fantasy, Warcraft, Mortal Kombat, and more. We talk about his multiple cosplays, how he learned, and about the origins and purpose of ORCs. Supercon is coming up fast and we talked with Ryan about the awesome thing that ORCs will be doing at the convention including 7 different panels as well as a cosplay ER booth to help any cosplayers get fixed up in the case of a costume emergency. We had a blast talking with Ryan, learning about ORCs and cosplay, and getting hyped for Supercon. Don't miss it!

This week we are joined by Mason Berry of Card N All Gaming! First off, we had to talk about the disaster that was Blizzcon. What in the hell was Blizzard thinking with the announcement of Diablo: Immortal? We talk a bit about mobile games, grinding in MMOs, and Chris' love for Final Fantasy. We talk about Mason's part in founding Card N All and his interests in Pokemon cards. We touch on video games, N64, Wii, Playstation 2 more. Of course we delve into the giant role that Card N All will have at Louisville Supercon! It's pretty exciting and there's a lot to look forward to: a retro gaming area where you can play your favorite classics for free, tons of video game tournaments and contests, demoing Warhammer and board games, and more. A Nerd Like Me founder Aaron McGahee joins us this episode! We talk about what he's been up to and some of the things he's been working on for the group. Mainly: Louisville Supercon.  We talk about what A Nerd Like Me's role will be at the convention, including our volunteer force. We also talk about other conventions, seeing celebrities, and why we're excited to have a big con in our hometown. In the wake of Halloween and because we're gearing up for Supercon, we touch on cosplay. How can we not? Should you buy or make your cosplay? What's better? Why does Aaron enjoy his cosplaying? What is he working on? We discuss all of that! We then switch into a talk about how much the stars of the nerd world, professional streamers and cosplayers, make doing their thing. In honor of Halloween this coming week, we decided to dedicate an entire episode to it. We start out by talking about one of the cornerstones of the holiday: costumes. We talk about some of the best ones we've seen and Chris gives some more details on how his Kylo Ren costume is coming together. We end up on a tangent about Sideshow Toys and their quality and customer service. Then, we discuss our favorite Halloween movies and talk about some of the classics and some popular genres like horror movies and zombie movies. Nightmare Before Christmas, IT, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and more. We touch on carving pumpkins and some of the things we've carved. And... what's our favorite Halloween candy? Candy corn, Reeses, and many more. Can't talk Halloween without talking haunted houses, so we discuss those too. This episode was a little different than our normal ones, but it was a lot of fun!

We talk some serious nerd stuff this week! We had some interesting and fun games of Magic the Gathering and we tell you about it. Dungeons and Dragons and nerds go hand in hand and we open that can of worms. What are our experiences? How do we like to play? What is the good and bad of a D&D campaign? What other tabletop RPGs have we played? We talk about how we have so much more fun playing games with other people and how D&D and roleplaying games are a great way to do that. Then, with Blizzcon coming up, there has been some buzz about a potential new Diablo game. We talk about the franchise and why we love it. We give our opinons on what we'd like to see in a new game. After, we touch on how rampant toxicity and negativity is in so many fandoms and how we hope that changes. We offer our perspectives and some ways we think it could be improved. Enjoy!

How'd we like it? What'd they do right... or wrong? Then on that topic, we transition to talk about anti-heroes and how that archetype has become popular. We talk Deadpool, Batman, Spawn, and more. After, we discuss World War II movies a bit and even go into some discussion on tanks and other cool war vehicles. With war on the mind, we go into a talk about Battlefield 4 and what made it such a fun game. Lastly, we talk Attack on Titan, which Cory has just started watching.

This week we discuss a cornerstone of nerd culture: CONVENTIONS! What is it that make conventions so cool? Why are nerds all about it? We give you our thoughts and experiences. We discuss the upcoming Louisville Supercon and the list of people that will be there. Then we go into some of the conventions we've been to including Gen Con and Star Wars Celebrations. Plus we give you some of our best memories. Of course, you can't talk conventions without talking cosplay, so we touch on that too. Then we discuss some more hero stuff, namely: What makes a good (or bad) hero? We break it down and give you some examples. We talk about One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Superman, Berserk, and more. Then we give a little hobby update. Chris has built his first Gundam model! What's he think? What's next? Then we touch on the Necromunda campaign we are playing in.
