Craft Beer is a term that's always been hard to define. Is it monks on mountaintops that have sworn a vow of silence brewing in solitude? Is it trendy upstarts trying to be ahead of the curve? Or is it simply great people who've a genuine passion for great beer?

This is the question A New Brew set out to answer by talking to some of the most exiting breweries and insiders in Ireland today.

A New Brew is a brand new series that maps out the past, present and future of Irish beer all according to the nations top brewers and those in the know.

From Dublin to Roscommon, Dungarvan, all the way down to the Dingle Peninsula, the show covers all four corners of the country in order to find the men and women behind some of Irelands new favourite beers and to answer that ultimate question, what is craft beer?
