In this episode Monique Sayers and Carrie Jeroslow spoke with Maggie Verderame about homeschooling, self-care, avoiding burn-out as parent and A-Z tips for homeschooling. Maggie is a joyful homeschooling mother with a background in theatre, music, early child development, yoga for all ages, and healthy natural living who believes in the powers of presence, creativity, playfulness and unity. She believes its possible for all children to be seen and heard fully and treated with respect, like the naturally intuitive, kind, genius discoverers that they are. Children want to be guided to be the absolute best, most loving human they can be and that when educators demonstrate, teach, and allow for that, our whole world changes for the better.
What advice would you give to a parent or caregiver just starting out as a home educator?
Why do you feel self care for educators and parents is so important, and what kinds of things do you recommend they do to stay consistent with self care routines?
In what ways is homeschooling unique and special? And, how can it be customized and made more meaningful and heart connected for everyone involved?
