This one has been on the docket for a while. Dan and Paul have a lot of fun breaking down the wine-heavy parts of the film scene by scene as if they took place in New York, superimposing NY wines and wineries. What region did they have the New York versions of Miles and Jack visit? Listen to find out!
A Northern Wine Odyssey is back and we're super excited to welcome co-host Dan Belmont as a permanent fixture on the pod. Dan brings expertise in all areas of New York wine and adds an international perspective as he resides in London England.
Paul and Dan jump into a bit of Dan's background before tackling the subject of flagship grape varieties -- as in, do we need them in New York, or is it better to celebrate diversity?
Osmote Wine owner/winemaker Ben Ricardi and host Paul Brady pay tribute to Scott Signari, the chef/owner of the Stonecat Cafe in Hector, NY who recently passed away from brain cancer.
Brady reflects on his time as a server at the Stonecat in 2017, and Ricardi – being local to the area – discusses the chef's extremely hospitable and unique relationship to local wineries.
The two then shift and chat about all things wine including their pet nat collaborations.

This is one for winery owners in particular -- Adam Teeter, CEO of VinePair, with host Paul Brady on more effectively using data in marketing strategy.
For this week's episode, host Paul Brady speaks with his friend Kat Thomsen a creative director, writer & editor currently based in San Francisco.
Her amateur-friendly wine writing has appeared in Glamour, GQ, 7x7, and more. She is an unapologetic champagne devotee, a dress collector, rides a Ducati, and is the proud mama of a five-pound Pomeranian named Peaches.
During their conversation, they discuss getting the most out of visiting wine country.
Winemaker Anthony Nappa has made wine around the world and found a home within the unique maritime climate of Long Island, where he makes wine under his own name as well as for the sizable North Fork winery, Raphael. He is one of the most knowledgeable on the subjects of sustainable agriculture and climate change and produces wines that are both excellent and true to place.
