A plea for sanity

In this episode, my sister and I embark on a retrospective conversation detailing the experiences of growing up within the British education system with autism and dyslexia, where we will detail the need for intersectional approaches within the education system to meet the needs of all children as well as touching on topics of the political landscape which was afforded to us while we were in primary, secondary and post-16 education.

Hello and welcome to this episode of A Plea for Sanity. This episode will be a conversation about the black girl experience in the UK. The conversation will jump from the school experience to pop culture, such as a retrospective discussion on The Little Mermaid and Megan Markle, to the experiences of racism, featurism, and texturism, as well as a few points on class and the gendered world of growing up as a black woman.
