Kaitlin and Kathryn share their experiences responding to the inevitable internal self-critical backlash that followed the recording of Episode 3 and offered some simple spiritual tools for listeners to employ when this occurs as they expand and grow toward the light.

Kaitlin and Kathryn share on how coming to a believe in a power greater than PTSD requires the admission that PTSD is a greater power than the self. So the power must be greater than that greater power.

Step 1: We admitted we were powerless over fear and shame and the compulsion to struggle. Kathryn elaborates more on her experience, strength, and hope making contact with a power greater than herself and poses the inquiry that if this power could heal substance addiction it must be able to heal PTSD and the impulse to stay in survival mode when one if called to grow beyond it.

In this episode, Kathryn and Kaitlin share about the twelve steps in the Big Book applied to their underlying addiction to struggle - a powerlessness over their neurological programming that enabled them to survive as abused children but blocks their ability to thrive as adults. They draw on their experience in AA, DA, OA, Al-Anon and ACOA to consider the possibility of a Power greater than their trauma that can restore them to wholeness.
