While Boulder County’s unemployment rate is comparatively low at about 5.5%, there
are still thousands of men and women here looking for work and struggling to find
opportunities. On this month’s episode of “A Public Affair,” we speak with Boulder
County leaders looking to help connect the currently unemployed with jobs. Tom
Miller of Workforce Boulder County shares information on trends he’s seeing and the
outlook or the future. And Bridge House Executive Director Isabel McDevitt, who runs
the non-profit’s innovative Ready to Work program, talks to us about moving the
county’s homeless men and women off the streets and into jobs. Joining the
conversation is Ready to Work participant Doug McKey.
