  • Being Vulnerable: Freedom And Strength

    — "When we are vulnerable, we connect. When we share ourselves fully, we subconsciously give the other person in the relationship "permission" to share as well. Vulnerability is a strength, and it is freedom; freedom to be completely who we are in our rawest form; naked.

When we are free to be who we are, and we feel adored, accepted and understood for who we are; there is no better feeling. Every couple I interviewed talked about how freeing it is to feel like they can just be themselves."

Valeria Teles interviews Jaime Bronstein — a Relationship Therapist, Coach, And Host Of "Love Talk Live" On LA Talk Radio.

Jaime Bronstein is a relationship therapist, coach, and host of "Love Talk Live" on LA Talk Radio. She was named the "#1 Relationship Coach Transforming Lives in 2020" by Yahoo Finance.

Jaime is highly sought-after to share her relationship advice on various media outlets such as KTLA, ABC, NBC and CBS News, PEOPLE, Thrive Global, and Bustle.

  • Grief Is The Price Of Love

    — "Grief never ends… But it Changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith… It is the price of love."

Valeria Teles interviews Brian Hartzman — a Grief Coach And Loss Support Life Reentry Practitioner.

Brian is a grief coach working with people struggling to find their footing in the strange new world they find themselves after experiencing the loss of something dear to them.

By his late 30s, Brian had reached what felt like the definition of success. He was almost 20 years into a successful IT career and, although he was divorced, his second marriage was "perfect," bolstered by the lessons he'd learned from his first marriage. He and his new wife had a great co-parenting relationship raising his kids with his ex-wife and their very "modern" family was thriving. This seemingly perfect world was challenged when his wife was diagnosed with cancer. While they remained "strong" through her two years of treatment, she ultimately succumbed to the cancer. By the time he was 40, Brian had been divorced and now widowed, adrift in world that no longer felt safe or enjoyable. Feeling the need to "hold it all together" for his family and friends only served to further compound his grief and isolation.

These experiences brought Brian the gift of grief. As Brian learned, one can either break down or break open. We break down when we hold on to the world that no longer exists for us, but breaking open allows us to thrive in any possibility. In breaking open, a sort of post traumatic growth can happen as one sheds the ideas, they held about how they knew the world and their life to be, and live free of much of the stress and angst of that way of being. Brian found peace and a new life through leaning into his grief and embracing the Buddhist concepts of presence and impermanence. He is now trained in grief coaching and as a death doula and supports others as they struggle with grief and challenging life experiences – caretaking, eldercare, death of a loved one, or the ending of a significant chapter in one's life. He also founded a support group for widowers to commune with others who "get it." He learned that men struggle differently with grief in our western culture and how they are expected to grieve (be strong). The widowers group provides a safe place where that stereotype can temporarily be set aside.

Brian lives and works in Seattle, supporting clients locally and remotely.

  • What Is Your True Calling In Life?

    — When we go through hard times in life it is so easy to get caught up in seeing everything with a cloud over it. This is especially true when someone has offended or hurt us deeply. We start to see ourselves as a victim and the longer we think that way, the more we lose the ability to handle situations well. Sometimes going from victim to master may require outside help. Dianne McKim has helped clients make this transition and have seen them begin a new and fresh walk-in freedom.

Valeria Teles interviews Dianne McKim — a Multi-Certified Leadership, Life, Empowerment Coach, Strengths Champion Certified Coach®, Director DivorceCare for Women, Author, Speaker, Workshop Facilitator.

Dianne McKim, Principal of Precious Stones Coaching, has experienced many challenging and heartbreaking life circumstances giving her a unique perspective to connect deeply with her clients. She is an abusive relationship survivor, has navigated through a long and difficult divorce which resulted in her running a household, working full time in corporate America, and raising children simultaneously as a single mom for 14 years. She has dealt with family issues, the loss of jobs, friends that came and went, family members passing away, and very low self-esteem.

After her divorce, she had to rebuild her life, rediscover herself and strengthen her confidence. As she did, she learned how to stand strong in her abilities, understand her value and embrace her identity. As her confidence grew, she discovered how to have professional success, personal contentment, and spiritual fulfillment. Today she walks in the freedom she was designed and created to enjoy. Her life verse is from Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Married with 2 children, 2 step-children, and 1 grandchild, Dianne grew up in and lives in New York's Lower Hudson Valley. She loves the beach (her true happy place), working on jigsaw puzzles, worship music, studying the Bible, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Aging With Meaning, Purpose & Playfulness

    — For the first time in history, we are not only living longer, but everyone also has an important choice to make: commit to a meaningful, purposeful life of "Incline" as we get older or believe that a new stage – one of steady "decline" – is inevitable. What is not helping is that in the media and society in general there continues the somewhat negative connotation surrounding the concept of aging. We need to change the mindset for it. Embracing change and looking at life with a keener sense of curiosity will lead to living with increased courage to live life to its fullest.

Women and men who make a conscious choice to ignore society's negative mindset of decline and being "over-the-hill" as we age who embrace a positive mindset of Inclining: ready, able, and willing to continue living a life of achievement, meaning, and purpose.

Valeria Teles interviews Ramona Oliver — the author of "Inclined Elders: How To Rebrand Aging For Self And Society."

Ramona Oliver has long been a passionate educator with former roles as a human resource manager/director, career coach, and director of outreach for St. Edward's University. As a human resource director for many years, she championed the professional development of employees. While serving as president of the Austin Human Resource Management Association, she led a team that designed, developed, and implemented an award-wining leadership program. In addition, she launched a workforce readiness committee that partnered with community organizations to implement workforce readiness initiatives. At St. Edward's University, she promoted lifelong learning and the adult undergraduate and graduate programs to older adults in the Austin community.

Ramona currently serves as an advocate of positive aging. Rather than accepting a mindset of decline, she is passionate about living life with an attitude of Incline. Ramona has been published on the Changing Aging website, offering posts with titles such as "Can We Please Stop Calling It Aging," "What Are We Missing When We Settle for Life Stages?" and "Leave a Legacy and Live It Now!"

  • Emotional Healing For Men

    — Patti Henry believes that men need healing. Her belief is that men need help getting reconnected to their emotional selves so that they can take their whole selves with them into a marriage or into the workplace or wherever. The problem for men begins with how they were treated as boys. Our culture has a long-standing tradition of teaching our little boys to cut off from their feelings. This makes them emotionally unavailable to themselves as well as others.

Valeria Teles interviews Patti Henry — the author of "The Emotionally Unavailable Man: A Blueprint For Healing."

Patti Henry has been a psychotherapist in private practice since 1988, working in women's programs in psychiatric hospitals before that. She began her work committed to empowering women but soon realized men were in desperate need of healing, as well. She believes we must emotionally heal men if we are going to heal the world. She specializes in working with couples where emotional unavailability is present.

  • Releasing Lifetimes of Emotional & Physical Stress

—We come into this life with many lifetimes of baggage. Perhaps it was a contract you created to a person or a church. Or perhaps it was to help release your family lineage of a pattern that has been passed down through the DNA. It can be uncomfortable at times to acknowledge that we have chosen certain paths in life, especially when going through a really difficult time. These choices are often unconscious and blind spots to our logical brain. Many wouldn't knowingly take themselves through a painful and challenge time, but unconsciously they may have chosen it to learn some sort of lesson and complete the contract for this life. If that lesson is not completed in this life then they may find themselves back here to complete it in another life.

Valeria Teles interviews Meagan Goodes — the author of "Healing Journeys Through Quantum Realities: The Handbook"

Meagan Goodes helps us to release lifetimes of emotional and physical stress with tapping. She uses a combination of different techniques to create fast and effective shifts. One technique she uses is Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as Tapping or EFT.

Meagan once a primary school teacher turned holistic therapist, started her journey to help her son overcome his separation anxiety after his birth mother died when he was 6. She has empowered many clients of all ages to improve their life, bring back the joy and happiness and feel a sense of freedom. She has been able to assist clients to come off medication (with doctor's assistance) by working on the underlying stresses and triggers causing a wide variety of physical and emotional conditions.

  • Quantum Realities: Where Healing Begins

    — Shamanism accepts that our physical world interacts with spiritual ones that we can communicate with through altered states of consciousness. Shamanism understands that in the inner worlds everything is both conscious and interactive. A shamanic practitioner enters a trance state to access the collective consciousness to gather information about a person that they are making the journey for. With hypnosis, we can help clients access their own information through their own journey. This is far more beneficial than having a shamanic practitioner journey for another as we individually can get far deeper awareness and connection to our own energy streams and stories. We can activate or deactivate energy patterns or things that we know or can feel as the right things to do.

Valeria Teles interviews Lorna Wilson — the author of "Healing Journeys Through Quantum Realities: The Handbook"

Lorna Wilson is an Advanced Hypnotherapist, Shamanic Practitioner, Mentor, and Spiritual Life Coach. Lorna became a close student of the late Dolores Cannon the pioneer of the Quantum Healing Hypnosis method. Lorna is the author of a practitioner's manual on how to conduct Healing Journeys into Quantum Realities. She is currently writing a book about healing that combines her hypnotherapy and shamanic skills.

On a personal note, Lorna enjoys helping people find meaning and purpose in their lives. She is a deeply spiritual woman with a passion for unraveling the mysteries of the mind. She is very optimistic and always chooses to see the brighter perspectives presented within our life stories. As far as Lorna is concerned, a glass is never half empty but always half full! She loves to inspire and to be inspired and her goal and passion is to provide the sacred space where people can explore their own multidimensional soul history to help them discover the real meaning why they have incarnated at this incredible time in Earth history.

  • Forgiveness Is A Loving Choice

    — Life isn't limited to the tangible reality we experience on this earth, and that our worst adversaries can become our greatest teachers. It's a story of how forgiveness is the best revenge.

Valeria Teles interviews Kirsten Mickelwait — the author of "The Ghost Marriage: A Memoir".

Kirsten Mickelwait is a professional copywriter and editor by day and a writer of fiction and creative nonfiction by night.

At thirty-one, Kirsten has just returned to San Francisco from a bohemian year in Rome, ready to pursue a serious career as a writer and eventually, she hopes, marriage and family. When she meets Steve Beckwith, a handsome and successful attorney, she begins to see that future materialize more quickly than she'd dared to expect.

Twenty-two years later, Steve has become someone quite different from the man Kirsten first met. Unemployed and addicted to opioids, he uses money and their two children to emotionally blackmail her. The couple separates but, just after their divorce is finalized, Steve is diagnosed with colon cancer and dies within the year, leaving Kirsten with $1.5 million in debts from properties that are no longer hers. It's only then that she finally understands: The man she married was a needy, addictive person wrapped in a shiny package.

As she fights toward recovery, Kirsten begins to receive communications from Steve in the afterlife—leading her on an unexpected path to forgiveness.

She's also an alumna of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, the Napa Valley Writers' Conference, the Paris Writers' Conference, and the San Francisco Writers' Conference. Her short story, "Parting with Nina," won first prize in The Ledge's 2004 Fiction Awards Competition. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she's at work on a new novel.
