  • Storytelling: A Powerful Healing Tool For Everyone

    — "The most interesting stories aren't ones of blame or regret. They're ones of self-examination, where we examine our own involvement in decisions—all of the complicated nuances, that in examining them, lead us to grow. Storytelling is such a powerful tool for healing for ourselves and our communities. But we can only heal what we reveal, which is why Chloe invites vulnerability into her work. She loves to unpack the why of our intentions—the nuances that influence how we show up the way we do—so that we aren't in positions to betray ourselves. Through personal self-examination, Chloe believes we can deepen community."

Valeria Teles interviews Chloe Louvouezo — the author of "Life, I Swear: Intimate Stories from Black Women Exploring Identity, Healing, and Self-Trust"

Chloe Dulce Louvouezo is a Congolese-American writer. As a storyteller, she believes in the power of stories for deeper connection and personal healing. Chloe curates prose and experiences that support inclusivity and belonging of underrepresented communities from across diasporas. Her work to develop inclusive spaces is driven by her multicultural background and having lived extensively internationally.

In her career in communications, diversity, and inclusion, Chloe has focused on inclusive storytelling at domestic and global organizations addressing education, poverty, and mental health, most recently at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She is the creator and executive producer of the Life, I Swear podcast, where she explores the nuances of Black women's journeys through post-traumatic growth, resilience and identity.

  • How Deep Is Your Self-Love?

    — "Together, we are the product of broken hearts & the brave decision to return to love."

Love from the Vortex & Other Poems (Kaleidoscope Vibrations, LLC), is poet and scholar-activist Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz's first full-length collection. An archaeological exploration on love and intimacy, the book charts her journey of finding and losing love over the span of three decades with six different men who came into her life at various times, but also offers a universal take on what can happen when one seeks love and connection with others, and the lessons that follow when that connection and love is lost. Revealing moments of happiness, fantasy, frustration, and eventually dealing with the dissolution of relationships, the book moves beyond these anticipated stages to moments of grace and beauty that come with the discovery and practice of self love, and a more fuller understanding of what it means to truly love someone as your love yourself.

  • Is Your Love Relationship A Divine Union?

    — "A divine union is where both individuals show up with self-love, they take personal responsibility for their life choices and they seek to bring out the best in themselves and each other. This type of relationship allows both people to shine while fulfilling their individual life paths. These individuals have a purpose for waking up each day and motivation to be their best selves. They understand that they are not perfect (and never will be) but don't use imperfection as an excuse to hurt themselves or others. They are open-hearted, forgiving, and certain about how they feel. Another way to describe a divine union is the highest potential soulmate."

Valeria Teles interviews Joy Andreasen — the author of "Whispers From Another Room: A Mystic's Journey Into the World of Spirit"

Joy Andreasen is a psychic medium, Shamanic Reiki energy healer, spiritual Consultant and teacher, and published author of three books. In her early thirties she began to use her gift within the umbrella of Christianity, but over time began to explore other belief systems and realized an innate knack for healing through nontraditional methods. Her clients report renewed hope, a greater sense of well-being, and often are able to move forward from limiting beliefs and behaviors after their sessions. She also has been able to assist clients in moving forward past grief and navigate difficult decisions after conversing with their deceased loved ones or Spiritual Guides. She hosts a monthly Zoom where she and the participants meditate as a group and send healing energy out into the world, allowing the Guides to share and direct the agenda. She sees clients by phone, Zoom and in person in Winchester Virginia where she resides with her husband and kitty.

  • Uncover The Sun In You — Anywhere & Anytime

    — "I don't have to do everything perfectly when there's something I know needs to be done and can help people. Sometimes we're so afraid we can't be perfect, we get defeated. I was also scared to put mystical Jamie out there in writing because I'd only shown that side to those closest to me, but when I just bit the bullet, it was so empowering and I'm hoping others will feel empowered to show who they really are remembering they don't have to be perfect. This action will move them to their North Star. Also, they don't have to quit their jobs to find themselves and spend months in a cave meditating — They can start in a little morning ritual, unique to them that they create, and create a synergy to lift their energy. Most importantly, they need to stay here, do the work, and move through it so they don't need to come back and do it again."
