The word of God rebuilds lives by cleaning out the rubble, restoring the joy of mercy and giving a purposeful impact. Nehemiah 8:9-12 reminds us that the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Jesus sanctified everyone with his grace.

God can only be found in relationship.

2 Corinthians 9:6-15 gives some insightful counsel from God through Paul. Paul told them how to respond to their natural disaster, offering some very timely thoughts for our hearts here. What does God promise to do when we dare to be generous like him?

God covets our hearts and when we are coveting other people’s possessions or circumstances, we are not seeking God. He wants us to be content with what he gives and find our greatest pleasure in him.

Jesus prayed perfectly. The disciples wanted to learn how to pray like Jesus. Jesus taught them the Lord's Prayer.

God’s original command was to make Israel take a break very seven days to reconnect with him and each other. They never kept this command purely just as they failed at all the commands. We really only see about 0.00001% of what God is doing in our lives. We trust him with the things we don't have answers to.
