Survivor stories just hit different. True crime itself is horrific and tragic and disturbing and things usually don't end well at all but sometimes they live to tell the tale and it both inspires you and rips you up inside. This story hits especially hard in both ways. This woman was not only almost decapitated but she was disemboweled AND LIVED! Alison Botha is a whole different level of amazing!
