Internalized Homophobia is a heavy topic, it follows this episode is a sober one. If you are in the right frame of mind, join a discussion of shame, religion, toxic internal dialogue, bi-as, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's sexuality. We also talk through eight slices of a self acceptance pie and classic gay childhood moments.... In case you need to hear it. You are gay enough. You are enough, period. You are everything. <3
"I searched google for a poem
On releasing internalized homophobia.
But nothing spoke to the scared child inside of me.
The one who trembles when I near intimacy with another woman
As though at any moment the door will be broken down
Our illusion of safety shown thin
At any moment God could rip open a hole inside of me
I read nothing, that gave her the feeling
She so desperately needed.
Offered like a fuzzy blanket.
A warm and soft place to be cocooned,
When the cleaver will be melted down
No more waiting for the blade to drop.
No more shallow breathing and dry eyes
As we wait for punishment.
No more murky self loathing thoughts.
Pleased for all the world to see us as we are.
Or with a lover, or family,
All we need is already inside us
And is working it's way to the surface.
When choices are made from a pure heart.
All the world will lie before you.
