First, The plaintiff, a former heroin addict, met the defendant when she moved into his sober living facility. However, the plaintiff is suing the defendant because after he kicked her out, she says he threw out her belongings. The defendant argues that the plaintiff wanted to move out, and he gave her three days to pick up her things, but the plaintiff never showed up.

Then, The plaintiff moved in with the defendant after her divorce, and they became friends with benefits. The plaintiff claims she and the defendant had their property in a storage unit. When the plaintiff went to jail, she says the defendant stopped paying the storage bill, and the plaintiff’s belongings were auctioned off, so she’s suing. The defendant argues that he was struggling to pay the storage fee on his own.
