A Sure Hope

What things or people are you hoping to satisfy the longings of your soul? Pastor Dave cautions you from trying to find satisfaction in what this world has to offer. Ultimately, the things and people of this world will let you down. However, God never will. He’s never going to give up on you and only He can truly satisfy you.

Why put off until tomorrow what can be decided upon today? As you listen to today’s message from Pastor Dave, he encourages you to decide to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior today. Tomorrow is never guaranteed for anyone. Anything could happen at any moment. Choose today to spend eternity with Jesus.

Be ready for times of trials. In today’s message, Pastor Dave urges you to be prepared for difficult seasons. For whatever reason, mountain-top life experiences can often be followed by valley and wilderness experiences. No matter what journey it is or what you’re going through, know that God is with you always.

Apply the Word of God to your life! Today, Pastor Dave explains to you the importance of not just reading the Bible, but applying it to your life. Faith without works is dead. A disciple of Jesus follows the ways and character of Jesus. Each day ask yourself “In what ways can I be more like Jesus?” Then, go model it.

Never underestimate the amount of compassion God has for you! Pastor Dave encourages you to remember the level of compassion the Lord has for you to the point that He was willing to die on the cross. God will always have a deep love and compassion for you no matter where you find yourself in this season.

Never forget this one truth, that God is madly in love with you! In today’s message from Pastor Dave, he reminds you of how deeply you matter to God. The Lord foreknew you, He fashioned you within your Mother’s womb. He knows every detail about you and the life He has in store for you. You are His beloved.

Jesus doesn’t bring to you condemnation. What He offers is salvation! As you listen to today’s message from Pastor Dave, he shares with you the beautiful hope that’s found in Christ. Jesus extends His hand to you today to receive salvation from your sins and eternal life with Him. He desires to give you a future and hope!

“Live your truth.” This is society’s motto these days. But as Pastor Dave explains today, when “truth” is broadened to subjective opinion, anything goes. Don’t be deceived by the culture around you, trying to convince you that truth is whatever you make it to be. God lays out the truth in the Bible, for your benefit!

A well-known phrase is, “The truth will set you free.” Pastor Dave brings home the point today that there’s freedom in knowing God’s Word. When you know and follow what God says, which is true, you’ll go in the direction that He has in mind. Suddenly, things will become clear, because God is not a god of confusion.

What a refreshing thing for Pastor Dave to mention today – to stop thinking and talking about ourselves, and instead, talk about Jesus! In the midst of a rocky political season, may we remember to put down our pride, put up our banner of Jesus, and be willing to do the things He has in mind for us to do.
