JPR takes a closer look at prejudice and discrimination against vaccine safety advocates. Why do the media take this stance? Do they even have a choice? How far will the media go to further the pro-mandatory-vaccine agenda?
Today you get to sit in on an editorial and writer's meeting for a national media outlet and watch how they tackle three tough topics that continue to run rampant in our society: bullying, prejudice, and "anti-vaxxers." Is it possible that these three issues are really part of the same underlying problem, and are the media working toward a solution or unwittingly stoking the flames of ignorance? Will any of them ever be brave enough to look in a mirror and see the truth about themselves?
JPR takes you deeper into the dilemma that the CDC vaccine schedule has very little safety research that verifies its long-term safety. But what are the media to do? Pharma is their number one advertiser. No company publicizes medical research that challenges the products of their number one customer or gives live air time to any medical professionals who are advocates for vaccine safety. Can viewers still trust the news, or must they find new credible sources of information?
What happens when a celebrity news anchor thinks he knows more about vaccines than one of the world's leading vaccine safety advocates? Learn what "safe and effective" really means, why more parents are losing trust in the full CDC vaccine schedule, and why mainstream media can no longer present both sides of the vaccine safety debate.
JPR takes you deeper into the LA Times article that brought the infamous Merck memo into the open. How long did this one vaccine company know children were getting too much mercury in their vaccines? When did Congress find out, and what did they do about it? How many years did it take for makers to finally stop adding mercury to vaccines? And why are we still allowed to give mercury-containing flu shots to infants and pregnant moms even though they've been outlawed?
If you were a vaccine developer, and you discovered that the vaccines you were making for your company had way more mercury than you previously thought, and this amount exceeded the FDA safety limit for children by 87 times, and you told your boss, and your boss wrote a memo to the head of your company, AND your company kept it a secret? What would YOU do? What if you then found out, 20 years later, that your own grandbaby just got a mercury-filled flu shot? Could you live with yourself?
There are several reasons why the general public should consider whether or not to trust vaccine information circulated by mainstream media. First, pharma spends more money on media advertising than any other industry. Second . . . well, there is no second reason. Or third. If you are running a business (media company) and some of the products made by your number one advertiser are harming a certain percentage of children, what would YOU do? Report it, or quietly look the other way?
Is media censorship of vaccine risk just a conspiracy theory, or is it now standard procedure for virtually all media outlets? Do our media outlets report vaccine and disease information objectively, or do they spin this information toward a certain agenda? If the original role of the news was to objectively inform the public, and to act as a watchdog to keep our government honest and minimize industry's influence in our nation's laws and policies, when did this change, and why?
Learn more about whooping cough, how to recognize it, how to treat it, why parents seem NOT to recognize this obvious type of cough, and how to understand the public health department's role in managing this disease.
Follow a group of families as whooping cough finds its way into their midst. Is this a deadly disease, or just a routine but annoying cough? How can you recognize it quickly so early treatment can make a difference? How do doctors make the diagnosis and what role does the health department play in outbreaks? Does the vaccine prevent the spread? Should all grandparents and family members be vaccinated to protect new babies? Learn everything you need to know about this infection.
