• Apple (AAPL) -
• One of the best ways to play declining consumer sentiment over the last few months. Analysts at Rosenblatt, in a research note Friday morning, highlighted survey results which showed less consumers expect to buy the new higher-end iPhone upon release.
• Rosenblatt reduced estimates on Apple amid the downtick in this spending sentiment.
• Netflix (NFLX) -
• The company will report quarterly results on Thursday of next week.
• Netflix has historically reported right after the closing bell, around 4:01 p.m. ET.
• Wendy's (WEN) -
• A dividend play. Wendy's doubled its quarterly dividend Friday morning, from $0.25 to $0.50 per share.
• The company also announced a $500 million buyback plan.
• Palo Alto Networks (PANW) -
• A top pick in the cybersecurity space by analysts at Morgan Stanley. While Morgan Stanley is cautious on the security space near term, the firm's analysts "believe Palo Alto's positioning as next-gen platform consolidator is stronger than it's ever been..."
• Blue Apron (APRN) -
• A play on a high short interest penny stock which moved over the $1 level as of Friday morning.
• The Benzinga Pro newsdesk team did not identify news to justify the move higher. According to the Benzinga Pro Details tool, short interest in Blue Apron neared 30%.
