In this episode of A Touch of Class, Will Griffith catches up with John Doyle, one of the brightest young talents in Irish golf and a 2025 Junior Ryder Cup player. Hailing from Mitchelstown and now representing Fota Island, John has already built a remarkable CV at just 18 years of age.

John is a two‑time Irish Boys Champion (2023 & 2025), and his rapid rise has seen him represent Ireland at every major level. In 2025 alone, he won the Boys Home Internationals, played in the European Team Championships in Killarney, and represented Ireland at the World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore.

This dream season didn’t stop there. John also teed it up in some of the biggest events in world golf for a player his age, including:
